because it used illustrations to help us visualize what Christopher was experiencing. Looking at the production itself, something that made the set unique was the use of trap doors in various situations throughout the performance. For example when Christopher found the letters from his mother, he pulled the box out of a trap door on the floor of the stage. Also at the end of the play, the puppy Christopher’s dad got him went down a trap door to exit the stage. Similar to the trap doors, the set was also unique because of cubby-holes in the walls of the stage. A few different times during the play, someone would open a cubby door on the side of the wall, and grab something out of it. Throughout the course of the play, many different locations were created. Christopher’s house and bedroom, the police station, his neighborhood and neighbor’s houses, the train and tube stations, his Mom’s new home, the school, and outer space are all illustrated using different production aspects. I believe the most influential set aspect, however, was the train set that represented London. Right before the end of the first part, Christopher set up an actual working train set that went around the entire stage. It was a replica of London and had specific monuments and building such as Big Ben and the London Eye, which came out of a trap door on the floor. The train started running and lit up to show the city in both an expressive and a symbolic way. It also acted as a cliff-hanger to end the…

Labyrinth is a play written by Beth Steel. It was shown at the Hampstead Theatre in London. The first thing I encountered when I entered the theatre was the stage. It was in the center of the theater, which makes it entertaining for the audience to enjoy it at any side. This stage design is defined as traverse. Another aspect I encountered in the performance were the props and how limited it was. Props that they used include nation’s flags, the trap and steel doors, and the lighting. The…

Mosquito Magnet Trap Placement Mosquito traps have proven that they can be effective at eliminating most mosquitoes as well as other flying insects. This is an considerate investment for one child and would be infeasible for all seven, however, the mother believed that he was the only intelligent child in the family and though her best investment was with him (Banerjee 88). While this investment might help that child to succeed, the mother’s open labeling of her other children as “stupid” and her pulling them out of school from a young age will means that they have lost almost all opportunity to succeed. While one of her…

I interviewed head coach of the North Scott Trap Team, Dave Fredericksen. My father happens to be the head coach, however, his position in the organization is nothing more than a coincidence; I would be interviewing the coach of the team regardless of who the coach was at the time. I interviewed the coach of the trap team because it is such a different and misunderstood sport, especially in a society that questions our Second Amendment rights. I asked him questions that required him to reflect…

In The Parent Trap movies, there a lot of things that are very similar but there are also a few significant differences between the movies. Some of the noticeable differences that I’m going to introduce include: how the idea of the picture was introduced, the difference in where the mother lives and how everything was upscaled in the new one. I think the new Parent Trap is a better movie overall, and enjoy it a lot more. First of all, in the new movie right in the beginning it shows the two…
