    of two mommies? It is a very hard question that may or may not come up, but I believe it will because that is how children are. They like changes on their own terms, but do not really relish things that are out of their own definition of "normal" which is usually shaped by their peers, friends, and even television. If he is the only child with two mommies this may lead to teasing, bullying, or worse. This would lead Aidan to become withdrawn, sad, and alone. As I said I am a big supporter of people's transitions. I have many friends who are currently undergoing their own transitions and we talk in length about all of the problems, trials, and tribulations that come with transitioning. In the entire exhibit I did not see a lot of these problems addressed or even discussed. My friend, Julie, who is transitioning from a male to a female. She talks to me about the hard time she has with her hormone injections, passing for female and being afraid to use a public restroom, and also about how her body is reacting to the hormones. It is very fascinating to me and I love talking to her about it. Although, the shots are very expensive and most insurances do not cover them. I helped her to talk to a psychiatrist who gave her a written referral because this would be considered a mental health issue. Therefore her insurance (Medicaid) is paying for her transition.
