Lego is a popular toy company known and seen by many. However, they weren’t always profitable. They, like many other companies, ran into hardships. This was mostly done by the lack of a proper strategy and loss of the company’s identification. Strategies are the upmost important to have in a business. In addition a strategy is only as good as it is implemented. A strategy that isn’t followed isn’t effective. This was one of the problems that Lego had. Lego is the play on the Danish words “leg…

Billion Lego bricks have been produced. As I look back my childhood, I can recall so many splendid toys that I had. One toy that stuck out to me that I thoroughly enjoyed was a massive set of Legos. The possibilities were always endless, I could create anything that came to mind. Similarly, to the ideas touched on by two writings; Maria Edgeworth’s “Toys” and Roland Barthes’ “Toys,” the Legos were wonderful toys to utilize because of the way they were able to engage a child and help them to…
I Scored a (92) in imagination and I actually love Disney Infinty 2.0. The Toy Box mode is my favorite aspect of the game besides the fact that I can play as Wreck-It-Ralph. My test score does reflect a fondness for this feature in the…
Toy stores are fun for anyone to go into, so for this assignment I went to an actual toy store. For me a toy aisle wasn’t good enough. I wanted that childlike feeling of joy, wonder, and awe. The story is a little shop down on Massachusetts Avenue (Mass. Ave.) called “Mass. Ave. Toy Shop. It has been one of my favorite places to go since I was little and I thought it would be great for this assignment. The reason I did is because this store is a little different, not like your traditional toy…

I do believe that Mattel acted in a socially responsible and ethical manner. They issued recalls on the unsafe toys, apologized for the problems that arose with their toys and they acted quickly and aggressively to implement a stronger safety check system on their products. One thing they should have done differently was issuing the recalls sooner than they did though. I think the vendors that used the lead paint, Mattel and the government regulators that are supposed to be checking for safety…
of all, the toys you played with are now put away, most likely never to be used again. Of course, you don’t care. That creepy doll with those blinking eyes could be gone forever and you would probably be scared if you ever saw it again. But deep down there's that one toy we all wish we could play with again and not be looked upon as mentally ill. For me, that's Legos. Those fantastic little blocks of all shapes and sizes fueled my imagination as a young boy, and were by far the best toy ever…
I could hear the constant chatter of the teams solving problems, parents giving advice, and judges evaluating. Then, I picked it up and looked into its lifeless eyes as it looked back at me. “Let’s do this!” I said. As the judges approached, a nostalgic memory hit me… ...One rainy day, as the light pattering of rain on the windows complemented the rustling leaves of trees, there came a loud “Crash!". Startled and fearing the worst, my mother ran to the hallway to find the 4 year old me standing…
