    The reason I want to lay the wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is to honor my grandpa who served in the Navy during the Korean and Vietnam War. This would be a great way to honor and thank him for his service. A reason why I would want to be able to lay the wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is because of my grandpa. It would be great to be able to lay the wreath because it would be a great way to thank him for serving the country when it was a choice to fight and not mandatory. It would also be great to lay the wreath to thank all the 58,220 soldiers who died in the Vietnam war, 33,652 soldiers who died in the Korean War, and to thank all those who were missing in action which is why the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is there. The reason why the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is there is to honor the 3 soldiers who died fighting and could not be identified. The tomb has never been unguarded and even during hurricane Katrina soldiers were still out guarding the tomb. The soldiers barracks are below the tomb.
