Tom o' Bedlam

Glou is up to. Outside in the rain Kent finds a hovel for Lear and the Fool but when the Fool tries to go in he’s run out by Tom Bedlam aka Edgar. Tom and Lear have a long “philosophical” talk before going in the hut. Edmund gives Cornwall the letter addressed to Glou as evidence of his treason; as a result Cornwall calls for Glou’s traitorous blood and makes Edmund Earl for his “honorable” deed. Glou finds Lear and co. in the hovel and tells Kent take Lear to Dover where he will be safe from those who wish to kill him. Aftwards, Glou goes back home only to be arrested by Cornwall for treason and as punishment is to have his eyes plucked out, during this one of Cornwall’s servants fatally wounds him in deviance of Glou’s treatment. Glou is then cast out outside only to wonder the lands and hope for death after being the ability to “see” again. Under the guise of Tom, Edgar guides his father towards Dover. While this is going on Regan and Gonreil ready their armies to go against Lear; Goneril fancy herself some Edmund and plots to have Albany meet an end on the battlefield so she can marry Edmund. But the recently widowed Regan finds that she is more “suitable” to marry Edmund than Goneril which creates fiction between the sisters. Goneril has Oswald send letters to Edmund but is intercepted by Regan as she convinces him to go after Glou to finish him off.
