    Could they even see the beach? This is bizarre … really bizarre; with all the different people in L.A: the surfers, the teenagers, the families, you would think at least somebody would be here! But, no, it was only me, Ruby and Poppy, all alone, with the waves roaring against the golden sand as the only noise to hear. It was as if we were on a parallel universe, as soon as we went to step onto the sand we got jetted somewhere else, maybe we could never get back! That might not be too bad a thing though. Poppy and Ruby both decided to sunbathe, even though they both have amazing tans anyway, especially compared to me! I didn’t feel like sun bathing so I thought I would go for a walk instead, considering I don’t normally get the chance when I come to the beach because it is usually like a sardine can. To be honest, I just wanted to leave everything and everyone on this planet; I wouldn’t be leaving much behind really, my life was always full of disappointment. My father left before I was born and my mother always blamed me for him leaving and my only friends, Ruby and Poppy, didn’t actually like me, I’m sure. They only used me because my mother had a high paying job. I swiftly told them what I was doing but I doubt they paid attention; they just carried on relaxing and listening to their music, which weren’t even decent songs!
