there was a difference between two or more groups and the findings found. There was no test statistic reported in the lay article because there was no study done for the article. The lay article is reporting on a scientific article but again does not run a test of its own. There is no data so therefore there are no assumptions to identify or even begin to identify. A study was not done for the purpose of the lay article, so therefore there are no results to discuss. Since the lay article is reporting on the scientific article, the results would correspond with the science article but they are not identified correctly in the lay article. The lay article reports that “resveratrol was seen to improve physical performance, heart function, and muscle strength in the same way as [these factors are] improved after a gym session.” While the scientific article makes it clear that the study was done on rats, therefore the results are based off of rats not humans, the lay article does not make this clear. Readers might be influenced to believe that this study was done on humans based on the quotes used from the leading researcher of the scientific study. A study was not done, so there is no error to address in the lay article. As a psychology student in a research class, the lay article was not believable. As previously read, there is no study done to prove any of the findings they are reporting on. The lay article also only uses quotes as any kind of proof for the findings. The lay…
