    The scripture is not silent on scrutinizing Christian faith using rational logic and reasoning. Thomas, the apostle of Jesus, has forever been labeled with the moniker, “Doubting Thomas.” However, to the uninitiated, this moniker may confer an unbiblical substructure on which Christian faith may rest. Christianity does not require a leap of faith nor fideism. Thomas, when confronted by his resurrected savior, requested that he examine the holes in Jesus’ hand in addition to the wound on his side (Jn 20:25).
