The first deadliest mass shooting that occurred in the last 10 years happened in Orlando, Florida in June 2016, killing 49 innocent people in a gay night club. This mass shooting left the whole country in shock and unable to grasp the fact that so many people were killed at a place where they went to have fun. A little over a year later, another mass shooting occurred that took 58 lives. This was the deadliest mass shooting yet to date and happened October 2nd during a country music festival, again, where people went to have a good time. Mass shootings have become an annual, or even monthly, routine in the United States, yet the government has yet to acknowledge the change. The U.S. is clearly Hem, who stayed in his familiar cheese station C, and refused to go out and look for more cheese. Johnson does not reveal his fate, just as the fate of this country is uncertain. Hem could have either starved to death, or used whatever strength he had left to explore the maze. It is up the government officials, and the voices of the people, to decide which path they want to take.
