When researching Vanitas, I found that I really liked the paintings and pictures using flowers and animals alongside skulls. It represents life and beauty along with death. The storm has passed, leaving the land broken, the water shaky, and the sky at bay. I chose this particular canvas because the content makes you inquisitive about the changing sky.
