Within novels, the incorporation of morals or events introduced in the initial sections throughout the remainder of the book is a common occurrence. This is evidenced within the pages of The Five People You Meet in Heaven, where the protagonist, Eddie, encounters Joseph Corvelzchik, often referred to as “The Blue Man”, who informs him of the interconnected nature of life, and how the notion of random acts is entirely inaccurate within the forty-eight page of the novel, where he states, “That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind.” The central message of this quote extends to the entirety of the novel, and it is undoubtedly one of the major lessons throughout the story. The Blue Man’s message is a reoccurring theme within the story The Five People You Meet in Heaven, a statement that is justified by its inclusion on the seventeenth page of the story, which precedes its introduction. On page seventeen, Mitch Albom, the author of the book, penned, “The pulley was wedged by a small object that must have fallen through the opening at a most precise moment. A car key.” Unbeknownst to the characters of the novel, Nicky, a young man, placed his car keys within the pocket of a jacket that was fastened around his waist, believing it to be a secure location. Upon riding “Freddy’s Free Fall”, however, it was freed from his jacket by the rapid alterations in altitude,…

changes in the rest of the sentence, in fact is made more clear and concise. This is how society considers the elderly. They are just dropped off until only the best remain on the train. This conveys the isolation of old age in the poem as they are not viewed as important in society. This makes the reader feel more pity for the father as instead of being taken care of in his fragile state because of his old age, instead he is dropped without any care. Despite this, the father is seen rushing…

The arm was distorted and had a series of rectangular shapes to form the arm, which bass considered to represent drug addiction. Preminger however disagreed with Bass over which animated sequence with the arm looked the best. Bass argued that “the sequence fell flat without animation” but Preminger disagreed. The official compromise was “staccato-like movements as the arm segments maneuvered through the visual progression”. After this compromise, the sequence went down as a classic in American…

It was last summer. While browsing on the Wechat, I was captivated by a story. This story begins like that a couple broke up at the airport. The girl said: “every day I am waiting for you. It’s just exhausted. At first I thought you would come back if I just wait for one more minute, but now I know there’s no point to waiting for you any more, because just like you could never get on a train in an airport, I could never expect the wrong person on the wrong place in a wrong time.” On that day…
