    in and didn’t know it. John and Lorraine would go to the Pigman’s house often and he would give them wine and talk. The Pigman would also buy anything for the two kids without question if they wanted it. Lorraine and John would prevaricate to their parents instead of telling the truth about them visiting the lonely man. The old man offers that they could come to the zoo with him to meet his best friend, but they didn’t expect his best friend to be a baboon. The Pigman and the kids go to the zoo many times after that and visit the baboon and look at the monkeys. The first time they went they visited everything, even including the nocturnal room. They end up visiting the old man everyday after school. He gave John and Lorraine hors d'oeuvres sometimes when they came over that were chocolate ants. They thought that the chocolate ants would taste putrid, but they didn’t taste as bad as they thought they would. The Pigman took the kids to this store and he let them buy whatever they wanted. All three of them bought rollerskates. They were all playing tag in their roller skates and the Pigman chased John up the stairs and he had a heart attack, which sends him to the hospital. While the Pigman was in the hospital, John would ask Lorraine sometimes how the Pigman was doing. She would reply by saying something like, “Why would your care?” thinking he is some kind of ingrate. John and Lorraine enjoyed using the Pigman’s house for fun. They played pretend and wore the Pigman…
