I went to see “The Odd Couple (female version)” by Neil Simon at Brodniak Hall in Anacortes on November 12 and 19. The play was directed by Scott Burnett and two student directors: Cierra DeCamp and Helena Pleet. I went to see the show twice with different casts. Out of all three of the main characters, my least favorite would have to be Cody Splunk. I personally loved the overall melancholy feel of the book despite what the cover would have one to believe prior to reading it. The stories behind both Laura Freedman and Janice Gibbs flow seemingly concurrently and are almost poetic in nature.
