    The Terracotta Warriors In 210 BCE during the Early Chinese Art period the Great Army of the First Emperor Qin was unearthed by local peasants that were just digging around. The dirt that covered the warriors had blended in with all the other dirt around it so its discovery was very unexpected, like any other discovery. What was discovered was nothing short of amazing and astonishing. Under the surface there was 3 large vaults or catacombs that contained 8 000 painted terracotta soldiers and 100 life size horses. In the first vault, there was a large portion of the terracotta soldiers and horses.
