    students seemed to always struggle with is if an interview is actually an interview or is it really a conversation. Asking this question throws students off usually on what they consider an interview. The students in the interviewing class consistently fought with this idea because their assumption of an interview is that it has to be “formal”. By doing this they actually segregate many other interviews that have been done because they don’t fit there perceptions of what an interview actually is. By the end of the semester is quite interesting to see more and more students ask questions regarding certain interviews on whether they were interviews or conversations. For example we used James Corden’s Karpool Karaoke segment on the Late Late Show with James Corden. While the environment is definitely different some of the segments are still widely considered as interviews. The only difference is the interview itself is not as formal. Constructivism in its simplest form encourages people to understand their beliefs and consider the possibility of changing them based on relevant info. Overall this was one theory that was very clear and present throughout both the interviewing class and intro to speech class this semester. In closing, I would say I thoroughly enjoyed my time as a teaching assistant. It really is an experience that I’ll be able to take with me throughout my life after college.…
