Tina had a mission and intended on pursuing what she wanted in life no matter the costs. She insisted on showing her children that excuses will always be there for you, while opportunities won’t. Tina was born and raised in the suburban area of Ansonia, Connecticut to Marilyn and Willie Wooden. Her mother worked at Sikorksy Aircraft whereas her father worked at the Ansonia housing authority to provide for her and her four other siblings. She is the third oldest to sisters Regina, Renee, Susie and brother Willie. As a child Tina was very intuitive and very strong-minded. She was the go getter of the bunch and didn’t mind the title. She attended Prendergast School as a toddler until the second grade when she was able to go to what they would call “Mead School”. Mead School, is where she attended third through sixth grade. From the graduation of Mead School, she then went on to attend Ansonia High School. Moreover, Tina relatively stayed to herself in high school. She had an average amount of friends and stayed on top of her books as her mother insisted. Though, she did not play any sports she loved to read, and her favorite series included the “Sweet Valley High Series”.
