    "The Odyssey" is an epic poem that centers around Odysseus, an epic war hero lost at sea after the Trojan war. Odysseus faces many trials & tribulations while he tries to find his way back home. He is faced with many challenges, but he overcomes them as any other epic hero. Odysseus rightfully deserves the label of epic hero because he has superhuman strength and intelligence, he travels and goes on a journey, and he has a major flaw. The first trait that lead Odysseus to be an epic hero is his superhuman strength and intelligence. He never does things that he thinks that it is wrong, he never treated any human, animal or god with disrespect, even if they didn't do for him any favor. He shows everything he does and say. He never got back if he was in a fight or a task that he must complete. His skills in fighting and shooting the bow with an arrow was fabulous. Regardless of what he went over he could simply be one stage in front of the following man that is stronger than him. He kept his cool in all circumstances and thought things through before he made any actions, and he was intelligence in many situations. When they were sailing home after the Trojan war, they suddenly found themselves landing on the beach of Cyclopes land, they found a cave and they entered but they got trapped inside. Then, Odysseus and his men hid under the Cyclopes sheep's. The poem says, “I tied them silently together, twining cords of willow from the ogre’s bed, then slung a man under each middle…
