    learned the ethics of basketball, and began gaining videography experience. During each game, we capture the athletic plays, the triumphant cheerleader cheers, and participants from the crowd. The hands-on work and the availability of resources were always valuable to me. The instruction taught me a great deal, but the ability to make my own graphics and mess around with stuff on my free time gave me an understanding that otherwise I wouldn’t of had. I learned to really appreciate graphics, the several ways to customize them, and their importance to the game day experience for fans. It keeps the crowds attention drawn to the animation on the screen. In particular, I also found that you can find a lot of character and action at tailgate parties. Tailgate party fans are very spirited and often can be courage to cheer for their teams. I found that working behind the camera can be very challenging because it requires long hours and to be constantly observing the game, but it’s also one of the most exciting jobs there is. Personally, my main objective coming to this class was to learn the fundamentals of each side of the camera. Each game I worked was important for me to gain experience handling a video camera, learning the proper apertures, lighting techniques, and camera movement, to achieve a certain look, as well as determining the right composition for a frame or shot.
