    The play, “For The Loyal” was chosen to be read for our semester final. “For The Loyal,” was written by Lee Blessing. The play has not been out for very long, it was first performed on April 24, 2015 at the Illusion Theater in Minneapolis, Minnesota. “For The Loyal” takes place at a College University where the young married couple of the play, Mia and Toby reside. Mia is a graduate student whom is with child, while her husband Toby is an assistant football coach for the University football team. Toby coaches under Coach Mitch Carlson, their boss is the head coach, Coach Tanner Hale. The play begins with Toby telling his wife Mia what he saw when he went to Coach Carlson’s house without notifying Coach Carlson he was coming. Toby proceeds to tell Mia that he saw a young boy naked in the car and that Coach Carlson was in his underwear, Toby referred to a part of his body as,” pitching a tent.” As most women would do, Mia flipped out when she heard this news. Toby had notified Coach Hale whom was concerned as well and will be notifying Coach Carlson that he needs to find a job somewhere else if he does not want to get in trouble. Coach Carlson enters, Coach Hale lets him know that he needs to find a job elsewhere. Mia then begins to question Coach Carlson about his actions in which causes chaos. Before long, Coach Carlson gets up to go to the bathroom however, Mia is supposed to be taking him a towel to dry off, but instead proceeds to shoot him. The play continues as…
