Elizabeth Diller, the designer of the Roy and Diana Valegos Education Center, wanted to design a building that was not only a structurally powerful building, but an innovative, sustainable building that worked toward the goal of minimizing CUMC’s carbon footprint while reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 30% by 2025.
