    Please find my resume enclosed for the Beef Empire Days internship position. Currently I am a sophomore at Kansas State University studying mass communications with an emphasis in public relations. I was excited to hear of this internship that would utilize my communications skills and allow me develop abilities that will aide me in my career. Throughout my life I have had a passion for communication. As I transitioned into college I found I could turn my passion into a career. As I continue to develop and sharpen my skills in the communications field I am eager to put them to use in a professional setting. Growing up in Garden City I was able to take part in many Beef Empire Days celebrations. It would be a privilege to gain experience in my career field through assisting with a week of events that has had a presence to me throughout my life. My education from the A.Q. Miller School of Journalism has strengthened my professional writing abilities on multiple platforms. Through these classes I have also learned how design visual presentations, and how to verbally engage individuals on both a professional and personal level. My classes encouraged my growth as a communicator through assigning projects similar to those that are required in the workforce.
