Growing up in the early 1960’s to 1970’s was a tough time for my parents but not just them everybody. This was because of all the negative that was around them. There were many things for kids their age to do, and they took the better route in life. Compared to now, the gang banging is not something that you see a lot of today. Both my parents grew up in this time period and my dad has a different outlook on life. The things that are going in today’s society are from when my father was child. It was never an easy to travel down being a young black man with a family at the age of sixteen. Some people even label Generation X as the lost Generation, because there was so much going on in life and who what would come out of all. There was even a show here in Little Rock Arkansas called “Banging in Little Rock”. Due to this show you can really see why they are being nicknamed the Lost Generation. My father and uncle are twins and they grew up in some of these areas, they both saw a lot of things I sat down and asked my father about some of the things they…

It is evident, that prison gangs are tied to the street gang. And there are also some examples about the gang operated from the prisons (Gang Disciples), which explain the strong influence of the prison gangs on their little brother street gangs.
