One can’t imagine the strenuous work that must be put into the program by the trainees in order to fit the industry’s vision of a K-pop idol. However, even with so much hard work, trainees are not guaranteed to debut. Some “give it up at their free will” due to the demanding nature of the program while others simply don’t have what it takes (Jung). Those who truly have the motivation and drive to become a K-pop idol will make it. Only after they’ve fully completed the idol training are they allowed to sign a contract with their company and debut.
