Participants who predicted the Denver Broncos to win said they watched football all the time, which were 2 individuals, some of the time which were 14 individuals, and never who were 11 individuals. Then on the other hand participants who predicted the Atlanta Falcons to win said they watched football all the time, which were 3 individuals, some of the time which were 8 individuals, and never who were 4 individuals. At the end of the study the hypothesis was supported by the results, and the result was that hindsight bias existed for the prediction of the outcome for the Super Bowl. In this study 27 participants who said the Atlanta Falcons would win also commented that they weren’t surprised by the outcome even though the opposing team won which was the Denver Broncos. And the study also proved that hindsight bias was not affected by the present students’ previous knowledge of its existence.
