IKEA is a company founded by Ingvar Kamprad, that sells affordable, high-quality furniture, while keeping the environment and unfortunate people in mind. IKEA was founded by Ingvar Feodor Kamprad. Kamprad was born on March 30 1926, on a small farm called Elmtaryd near Agunnaryd, in the Swedish province of Småland. Småland was one of the country’s poorest regions at that time. Kamprad began his career at six, when he bought pencils and matches in bulk, which he then resold to his classmates.
