    We all have a specific order that we do things in life. We eat breakfast before lunch and lunch before dinner. We wake up before we get out of bed and we get out of bed before we brush our teeth. Sometimes we will plan the order that we will do things during the weekend, like going shopping and then going to the movies. Everything in our life has a certain time and place. This way of organization helps us decide what is important and what is not, what we have time for and what we do not. However, having too much order can lead to too much focus on planning rather than on the experience. There is one thing everyone has to have order in their lives to achieve: the American Dream. The American Dream of living fuller and better than before can only be achieved through three parts: reaching financial stability, maintaining healthy relationships, and having financial mobility. Steve Jobs had some of these key aspects of the Dream thanks to his hard work, but he did not have it all. Although Steve Jobs had many successes throughout his life, his need for order is what dragged him down and prevented him from ultimately reaching the American Dream. Because Steve Jobs was so controlling of the way things had to be, he blocked his own path to achieving the American Dream. If Jobs were open minded and willing to collaborate with others, many of his innovations would have been so much greater than they are and he would have had more time to keep creating.
