After nearly 20 spins, they were beginning to feel a bit uncomfortable. Alfie had both his feet together on the red spots in the corner, his hands on the blue and yellow spots directly in front of his left foot. Dan had his right hand on the red spot directly next to Alfie’s right foot, his other hand free from any spots. His right foot was on the yellow spot next to Alfie’s hand, and his left foot on the green spot in between the two yellow spots where Phil had his feet. Phil was leaning back on his palms, his legs in front of him. His hands were on the red spots right next to Dan’s hand, leaving one red spot next to his right hand. Meanwhile, Joe had all his limbs placed on the remaining green spots. Dan felt a bit uncomfortable seeing as how he was so close to the Phil. As the game went on, it got harder and harder for him to keep his balance. Tanya spun the wheel and called out to Alfie. “Alright Alfie, your turn. Left hand, green,” she said. He nodded and moved his hand forward one spot. “Well, that was easy,” she muttered under her breath. “Moving on! Okay, Dan,” she said, spinning the dial. “Left hand,…

Tessie Hutchinson was the dreaded recipient of the black spot on her paper, this meant that she would be stoned. Feelings overwhelm her at the discovery of the black spot, as she begins to bargain with the village “You didn’t give him time enough to take any paper he wanted” (241). It is only natural for a person to feel as though this situation is unfair when they are on the receiving end of the stick. I would wager to bet that if this person was someone else, Tessie would be in a position of…
