    As high school seniors prepare for their next years attending college, North Dakota State University club sports have year round options for students who are considering following up with their sporting career. The stresses of college, especially on incoming freshman, can take a toll on a student’s social life, well-being, and every day activities. The variety of club sports at NDSU offer a competitive, friendly, and positive atmosphere that strives to benefit the college career of the participating athletes. The 24 sports include, but are not limited to, hockey, dance, paintball, baseball, broomball, fencing, swimming, and tennis. A select few sports have separate men and women’s teams, while the others are coed. As individuals who are entirely new to the college lifestyle, freshmen may need guidance and structure to feel comfortable. The women’s club hockey team president Kate Fredrickson says, “Club sports are a way to become a part of a family. Becoming a part of this team freshmen year made me feel welcome, productive, and helped me build great relationships.”…
