The Spice Girls were an iconic girl band that held major influence over fashion choices for young girls in the 90’s. The five “Spices” each embodied a unique symbolic attitude that clearly encouraged an individual diversity of style (Fuller, 2013). In a sense they offered the freedom to choose from a series of personalities that embodied the style of femininity.
