With a lifetime grossing income of over $90 million dollars, Space Jam is the top grossing basketball movie ever produced by almost $15 million dollars (Richard, 2016). Space Jam, according to the rotten tomatoes website, scored a 63% audience rating and a 37% on the tomatometer. This fantasy/science-fiction film helps depict the image that sports are “larger than life,” and athletes focus primarily on their sport and competition over their families, kids, and lives outside of sports. There are only five animated films that are grossing higher than space jam that were released before Space Jam. After the release of Space Jam in 1996, six movies came out in the decade that topped Space Jam on the top grossing list. Ever since I can remember, I’ve always loved the movie, Space Jam. The movie introduced me to Bill Murray (starring as Bill), to Danny DeVito (who played the evil theme park proprietor - Swackhammer), and of course to the the infamous Michael Jordan. I was so engorged in this sci-fi kids movie that I related almost everything to Michael Jordan and Space Jam. In school, I’d only buy Gatorade products, I’d constantly worry about what Bugs Bunny would think if I failed a test, or if switching from…

Jovan Lucas-Chamberlain is my full name, but most people call me Jay-voe. Not sure where the nickname originated, but I love it. Before I get into the meat and potatoes, lets dive into my past. In 2010, I attended Georgia Southern University with my best friend. No one made us go to class nor clean our rooms. Eventually, we developed a routine. Our routine was to skip class, get high or drunk, and last but most importantly, get laid. Honestly, I do not think I attended one class my entire tenure…

Nearly every character in Toni Morrison’s Beloved has a rich background story and battles with which they struggle internally. D is weighed down by his emotional baggage, Denver struggles with independence, and Stamp Aid deals with the horrors of his past by helping others years later.
