When I compared Joe’s Odyssey songs to Homer’s Odyssey books, there seems to be a 1:1 correspondence between most of the songs and the books. When I took a look at each song individually and compared it to the corresponding books, Joe emphasized certains aspects of each book and turned them into lyrics.
