    Skiing is a great way to exercise, yet have fun. I ski because I like the feeling of going really fast down a steep snow covered hill and catching really big air. I like any type of skiing, downhill, cross country, even backcountry. I love the feeling I get when I am in the air for a long time. I also like the vibe that a ski resort gives off. There are the ski bums(that are there everyday), the crazy ski team kids that send it off anything, and the first timers, everyone is having fun. I like to build jumps into powder fields, and hit the big park jumps. Pretty much, I like to be in the air. The feeling that I get when I am in the air for more than two seconds is awesome, and priceless. When I am skiing with my friends, we always push each other to go bigger or try something new. Most of the time, we go very fast to get to the terrain park, then hit everything in the park, and do it again! I have tried snowboarding a couple of times, but I think that skiing is way better, because two planks are harder than one. Snowboarding is fairly simple, point it one direction and go. On skis, you have to control both skis and stay balanced. Snowboarding is very similar to other sports, such as, skateboarding, surfing, and wakeboarding. Skiing is one of a kind, you can only really water ski and snow ski, that’s about it. That shows how skiing can give you a unique feeling. Skiing is very important to me and my family.     The edges of my skis slice across the freshly groomed trails while my poles force thrust back propelling my body over and past a steep hill. I continuously repeat this motion hundreds of times, so many that it feels woven into my fabric of a person.
