Yeah I didn’t fit in quite yet but how hard can it be? They all did it, so can I. So there I went, I started my first day at the gym. As many of you can see when you look at my arms that look like spaghetti noodles or my biceps looking like a bean my gym craze stopped after that first time. I lifted hard that day. That embarrassment is something nobody should have to go through. So, today I 'm going to tell you how not to be noticed at the gym. From this you will learn about people with huge upper bodies and small lower, girls lifting a lot more than guys, and the science behind blender bottles at the gym. “I don’t like books, they’re all fact, no heart” -Stephen Colbert. As ironic as this quote may seem it is another example of Stephen Colbert’s comedic style, thick satire. “I Am America (And So Can You!)” is another fantastic presentation of Colbert’s conservative capitalist character already shown on the Colbert Report. The book addresses issues that Americans face as adults and current issues facing the nation, plus a note to the future. All these issues are taken on with humor and satire…

He was always the really quiet child in the background. So when I got asked out by him, as the most popular female in school who rarely got asked out on dates, well I was immensely flattered. The redness of Minghao’s cheeks that particular lunchtime was so adorable. I was ready to go out with him then and there. Of course I, Rae King, had to maintain some posture, so I coolly responded with a “Yes” and the date and time had been set. Exchanging numbers with him was possibly the funniest thing…

Larah and Riasean rode for an hour before she broke the silence. “So, you are an assassin?” Riasean gripped the reins of his horse tighter. There is no point denying the fact. “Yes,” he admitted. “How did that happen – I mean how do you find yourself in the business of killing?” Where to begin? Best keep it simple, and as close to honest as possible. “One has to do whatever it takes to survive – in my case, growing up in Tamor, it was simple – kill or be killed.” Larah remained silent. He…

stood and peered at me through the palm fronds,” Gramps told me. I gasped—shocked. Though I shouldn’t have been. I knew growing up, that Grandpa Greene was the most fascinating man breathing. “R”Rovers are an important part of our lives. They allow us to see beyond our earth. We made our rovers to help us understand the scientific process and how to create an experiment. Making this rover also refreshed our memory of the concept of elastic energy. Not to rub it in your face, but EarthToy Designs enlisted in our help to design this rover, too. They asked us to make a rover that can be adjusted to go different distances. Of course, we have to think about the environment while making…

We are not born with your identity. Your identity is shaped by the experiences you go through in your life time. Parents can try to mold their child to whomever they want them to be, but at the end of the different factors come into account and life ultimately runs its course. A perfect example of this is a child being sheltered their whole life, and when they graduate high school and go to college and are finally on their own. They see themselves changing and they learn things about themselves…
