Nonetheless, both are exceptionally solid, chiseled dogs. They are also colorful. Choose from red and white, lemon or multicolored. The Beagle is absolutely adorable and wants to be everybody's friend. Most people are suckers for their round hazel eyes or big brown eyes. To top it off, they have long floppy ears. Temperament The Beagle is a fun companion to have around. He's has a sunny disposition, but he's a hound dog. This breed dances to his own drum. The Beagle can be hard-headed sock thief and test your patience. You must be smarter than he so practice unique techniques to train him by. Just as humans depend on their eyes, the Beagle needs his nose. They have keen senses. This breed is genetically inclined to hunt and to track scents. It's what he does best and he's happy doing it. If you're looking for a guard dog or a pet to sit on the front porch with, he's not the one you're looking for. They are mainly loving, happy go lucky canines.
