Donkey then made a pact with his friend Shrek, swearing vengeance on The Sixth, The Proud, and their entire family. Shrek was also the head of The Proud’s guard and had the authority to summon the Royal Court because of this. He called a meeting and told the Court about all of the complaints he received about The Proud from the citizens of the Seven Swamps, The Proud’s abuse of power, and the story of his son raping Dragon. This attempt to cause outrage worked, and the Royal Court was persuaded to send The Proud to a land beyond both the Seven Swamps and Far Far Away. The Proud’s family heard the news, and the flower ran away. The Sixth was mortified when he found out that his crime was made public and ran to another city in the land and hoped the military there would protect him. Unfortunately for The Sixth, this city wasn’t very fond of him either and he was murdered. Meanwhile, the royal court decided to elect two new ogres to lead the land of the Seven Swamps, one of which was Donkey. Next, word of his failing reign reached The Proud himself. He fled from his current location to Druida, looking for his allies. They agreed to help him, so The Proud readied his troops and prepared to invade the Seven Swamps. Shrek wasn’t unaware of this impending battle so he prepared his army as well and asked Donkey to resign because he was related to Lord Farquaad and his life would therefore be in danger. Donkey was shocked that Shrek would ask this of him but obeyed…
