Adae ended up paralyzed due to the negligence of these hospitals and ended up settling for $2.3 million but the fact is now because of the lack of action of the healthcare employee she is now paralyzed. Cynthia on June 28, 2006 was taken into the hospital with complaints of right shoulder pain, limited motion, cough, and a fever.(Crow 2013) The doctors believed Adae to have an infection or thyroid abnormality (Crow 2013). The doctors order blood test for Cynthia and were performed but before any results were given she was discharged the next day. In the results in was shown that she was suffering from and infection and the doctors were made aware but did not relay this information to Cynthia and causing her further pain and anguish as well as delayed treatment.
