    Lace Injustice Methods

I didn't know how to tie my laces for a long time. I tried all the methods people showed me; spinning the laces which are snakes, into loops and tie them to make a knot, and tying a lace around a loop to create a knot. No matter which method I tried I would never succeed. Whenever I tried to tie my laces I would tuck my laces into my shoes because when I tried to tie shoes I had with laces on them, the laces would always come apart, and I ended up just sitting there like a rock. One method I used to use to tie my laces was to spin the laces around each other once and tie them multiple times, but the laces quickly came apart. My mom decided to change that I didn't know how to tie my laces. She told me to go to the front door and practice tying…

Having an untied shoelace during the pacer test is every kid’s worst nightmare. My shoe was very loose and felt like it was about to fly right off my foot. I kept running through it, but every second it felt more and more strange and awkward. How will I keep going? I woke up at 6:15; i showered, ate breakfast, brushed my teeth and every morning I always hear my mom say “Alex you need to put your dirty clothes in the hamper.” When I left for school I saw many cool things on my walk to school. I…

Sirens blared as we raced across the Sahara on horseback. Reins gripped tightly in our hands, we were flying. That summer, I was Indiana Jones rescuing Marion Ravenwood. Nothing could stop us. Then suddenly the sounds of the sirens transformed into an all too familiar whistle—it was Dad calling me home for dinner. The next great Jones adventure was put on hold as I tugged the shoelace that doubled as reins and turned my bike towards home. “Until tomorrow Ravenwood,” I nodded with the tilt of my…

I chose this because I like castles and I’ve always wanted to make a castle for a project so when I had the opportunity to build one, I used it. I made my castle out of cardboard, construction paper, shoelaces, and tape. I made my castle out of cardboard and then put construction paper to cover it. I used the shoelaces to make a drawbridge. My castle isn’t the best castle but it’s something. I originally wanted to make a bigger castle but I didn’t have enough time. If I wouldn’t have waited last…

Howard Mandel Do you have someone that you look up to or envy? Well, that’s my definition of a hero. I think a hero is someone in particular that you admire. Some sort of role model for you. Someone that has been through, or someone going through, a rough time. I believe that a hero is someone that gives you inspiration. For example, my hero is Howard (Howie) Mandel.
