The participants consisted of 6 musicians ranging 13 to 15 years old who are a freshman or sophomore in high school. Music directors from the same school district were asked to choose musicians who shared similar musical skill level and who had previously been tested and diagnosed with dyslexia as potential participants for the experiment.
