Conclusion Due to the significance of KM in the front office department, this research paper tries to depict the status of KM front office department in five-star chain-managed hotels in sharm el sheikh. Besides, the purpose of this study is to provide better understanding of KM and its effect on hotel performance and innovation. The findings of this study reveal that there was a strong and positive relationship between KM and office department performance. Also, the findings reveal that there was a strong and positive relationship between KM and office department innovation. Specifically, front office department can achieve a competitive edge over their competitors, enjoy long-term repeat business, and improve department performance by implementing KM. These research findings represent the contribution to the hospitality literature and offers further opportunity to expand this research in other areas of the hospitality industry. Recommendations A) This study attempts to provide a variety of practical recommendations for guiding front office department employees, especially those who are operating in Sharm El Sheikh, to be successful in using KM projects to attain strategic business objectives.
