it seemed to really like it. So... I had a shapeshifting companion, fun. Had I taken drugs? Must have been some pretty potent drugs. I lost track of how long I had been walking. It was beautiful down here. This place had a completely different ecosystem than anywhere on earth. I was sure I was hallucinating. Before I knew it, I was no longer walking on grass, but crystal. It was really smooth. Then I had the brilliant (not brilliant by the way) idea to pull out my miniature survival pickaxe and grab a piece of the crystal, ya know, for a souvenir. I reared back and struck the smooth surface, the moment I hit it, I was launched back by an explosion and slid quite a ways. I blacked out after that. It killed 300,000 people, including my entire family. Black Canyon Research was responsible for all of it, but they somehow got out of it. I woke up with the shapeshifting thing on top of me licking me. I thought to myself Kitsune would be the perfect name for him. In Japanese mythology Kitsune is a shapeshifting fox that after 100 years appears as a…
