    The Flashing of Lights and Cameras Energy. It flowed through my veins in place of blood; the tingling sensations filling me with a sense of nervousness. After so many years of doing theatre, you would think I would have learned to be calm, but I wasn’t. Far from it, actually. The butterflies in my stomach made me queasy, the waiting made me anxious, and the noises that surrounded me gave me a headache. I wanted the wait to be over; I wanted to get on that stage and just start acting so I could be done with it. Yet, I also didn’t.
