The most important effect that incentives/disincentives had on my service learning was were to complete it followed by when to complete it. I made my decision to complete my service learning at NYSMM pretty quickly after getting the assignment. The incentives/disincentives were pretty clear almost immediately, With the NYSMM I had to complete a transcript which would take only as long as it took to me to complete it instead of a preset amount of time. I chose to complete my service learning with the Michigan Veteran’s Foundation in Detroit, Michigan. After my group arrived at the Detroit Veterans Center, we performed vital checks on the Veterans at the community center.
