They continued on the journey, and as the moon faded into a lightening sky, the animals began to come out, and the forest grew alive with sound and movement. The first rays of sunlight stretched out from the rising sun, shining through the thin gaps between the trees and illuminating the forest with a dim light. Now, as the day started to dawn and the night faded away, the full grandeur of the Sequoya trees lightened into visibility, revealing the fine needle leaves soaked in a beautiful deep green, the thin branches gracefully outstretched like a dancing ballerina’s arms, and the huge majestic trunk with bits of moss crawling up in odd patterns.
