    For example, “One as beautiful as you are sweet / with just a hint of pain” (lines 2-3), is a paradox. Both lines contradict each other by the artist is saying that the person is wonderful and has had a good life but they have also been through tough times and knows what it is like to feel some sort of pain. In line 9, the artist uses symbolism when they say, “you 'll have a hiding place you can go,” the hiding place being them. They 're always going to be there when you need some type of comfort or just someone to make you forget, even for a little while. This song also includes repetition. The line “I wanna write you a song” keeps being repeated to be emphasized that it was written for the listener to find comfort in it. It also lets the listener know that the writer had the fans in mind when writing the song. Another repetition is “everything I need I get from you” and “givin’ back is all I wanna do” meaning that the artist gets their inspiration from their fans and all they want to repay them by writing songs that they can relate to. Also, the artist’s word choice in line 15, they use “sink” instead of “break” because they had previously mentioned a boat.
