    He frequently engages in self-stimulatory behaviors such as eye poking, rocking, and hand flapping. Sensory – Aiden does not enjoy rough-housing activities, and cries when moved unexpectedly. He enjoys being rocked, but does not like being held firmly or cuddled. Aiden is orally defensive and does not readily mouth objects. He is resistive to tactile exploration and cries if his hands are put in messy or soft textures. Available function/strengths: Gross Motor- Aiden sits alone briefly. In prone, he moves by belly crawling. Occasionally he will attempt to support himself on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth. He raises his head when in prone on extended arms. Rolling has been observed when Aiden hears his mother’s voice. He attempts to follow the sound, resulting in spontaneous rolling. Fine Motor- Aiden’s skills are in the 8-9 month range. Oral Motor/Feeding – Aiden’s skills are in the 9 to 11 month range. He refuses to try new foods and mealtime is often unpleasant. Play Skills – Aiden typically engages in solitary play. He smiles when he hears familiar voices or when he is held by or played with by his mother, father or grandmother. Sensory – He enjoys being rocked. Priorities and Focus goals: Decrease Aiden’s tactile defensiveness and encourage more tactile exploration. Educate the family on how to interact with Aiden due to his tactile defensiveness. Educate grandmother on benefits of therapy. Encourage social interaction with sisters during play.…
