For project 2, the plan was to attend a seminar of some sort regarding estate planning. Chris Hogan, one of Dave Ramsey’s personalities, was here towards the end of March but his speaking arrangement wasn’t centered solely around estate planning and instead, was more of a “smart money” event about getting out of debt etc. After doing some research, I found several different seminars that will be taking place locally next month around the Salt Lake Valley, but since the semester will be over by then, I turned my attention to seeking one out online. For the final course deliverable, I attended a free health care seminar /workshop/ conference/webinar or professional association meeting. On March 30, 2016, the Kaiser Permanente Learning (KP Learn) department offered a seminar based on the book and educational series by Dr. Steven R Covey, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. In that time, a teacher could hit a student and it was okay and excepted it wasn’t really a big deal but now if a teacher hits a student they would get in trouble and possible loss their job. I had a lovely experience during the socratic seminar held in class. Prior to this seminar, I have participated in one in my Earth Science class. We had the guiding question of “Should we mine the moon?” and the class period went similar to ours.
