In other words, we wanted to motivate the youth to become emissaries of their culture by properly educating others about it and not being embarrassed when others inquire about it. Companion Athletics Seattle Basketball league, Hope Academy Middle School Team-Fall Basketball Season: As we did last spring season our Middle Basketball team joined Companion Athletics Basketball League Seattle, it is a Seattle based Non-Profit Organization, which severe East African youth in the Greater Seattle Area. We joined the fall season once again to kickoff the journey of winning a championship which we just fell short of last season. This new fall season Kicked off again on September 19th, 2015 at the Tukwila Community Center (TCC), our first game season opener we played a team called Khalid Bin Walid from the Kent area, it was a tough playing without our 6’3 big man but we battle all game long, and the game went to overtime but unfortunately we went 3 points short and we lost the game starting off with a 0-1 record. The next week came September 26th games were at SeaTac Community Center we played a team called Recognize Islam, we came out really strong and learning from the mistakes we did in the previous game, in addition to that we a had our 6’3 big…
