I think independent study is much more effective than classroom study for me and I am going to explain why. The reason that I think that is because in my own experience classroom study was very ineffective for me. Instructional Support Team (IST) Meeting IST meetings at Sumner are held on Monday’s after school. During this time, I would observe Ms. Westcott and the IST team as they discussed the students on a case by case basis. The IST team consisted of the Speech Teacher, School Psychologist, one of the Special Education teachers, and the case managers of each grade level.
