Dayana Acevedo is a small town girl from Lahaina, Maui and a graduate of Lahainaluna High School. Born in the state of California, and moved to Hawaii at the age of three. Her life was not just sunshine and rainbows. She is a daughter of two immigrants from Mexico. To get to college it took hard work, determination and independence.
