I truly felt that this has made me grow as an individual because it solved most of the missing puzzles that did not made sense while growing up. College has been an eye-opening experience for me. I met a lot of great people, sacrificed many weekends to study, gained a few pounds, shed a tear or two because of stress, forgot the importance of sleep, and pulling all-nighter like it was the most normal thing ever. Despite all of these, I would not have changed my first year college experience. I really enjoyed being at UC Santa Cruz. The vibe is amazing and the fresh air is one of the many factors that I appreciate and value Santa Cruz. As a first generation college-bound student, I thought it was going to be difficult to navigate the college life and its expectation because I would not have anyone to reflect my issues with; however, I was fortunate enough to come across friends and certain people that I know will be able to help guide my way through.
